Our November meeting was all about cocktails. The Cocktail Shaker boys showed us how to make cocktails and also gave us samples of some of the most popular ones. An fun evening where we also learned a lot.
In October our speaker was from Attenborough Nature Reserve. We learned about the past, present and future of the Reserve from David Attenborough to Avian Flu all at our local Nature Reserve.
September's meeting was about the future plans for Long Eaton. James Gregory spoke about the Galaxy Row development. An interesting and informative evening.

Our July meeting was a very successful Craft Dabble run by our very own talented members.
Our June Meeting involved an audience led talk by Paul Smith of the Derbyshire Blood Bikes Team. We found out why cars are sometimes used and that other items besides blood are carried by the team.

Our May meeting was our Annual meeting where a new President Jenny Devenport was voted in. Our new committee were also formed at this meeting. We also gave our thanks to our retiring President Zoe for all her hard work getting through these past few difficult years. After the meeting a Beetle Drive was held with many thanks to Viv for organising it.

Our April meeting took place at The Elms Trent College. The speaker was Gay Evans and she told us all about those ‘Forgotten Women’.

Our meeting in March featured talks from members about their hobbies and interests.
We found out about horse riding at Olympia, Yarnbombing in Breaston and Crazy Daisy Camping in September 2021.
We also heard about how one member spent her bursary money on a calligraphy course.
February meeting was a speaker from
Maggie's Cancer Care Centres. Lizzie Morgan told us about the work of the Centre and also told us about the early signs of Ovarian Cancer.

Our January meeting was indoor kurling.
The kurling set was borrowed from Derbyshire WI Federation and proved to be a big hit with all members.
Red and Blue were the 2 team colours and quite surprisingly the result was a draw!
