Our first meeting of 2023 was indoor kurling. Members were split into 2 teams red and blue. The evening ended with the blue team scoring 18 points and the red team scoring 16 points. So congratulations to the blue team!

Our February meeting was our resolutions meeting. We began with a talk from teachers at Brackenfield School about Autism and ADHD with particular reference to girls. After that our secretary gave an overview of the 4 possible resolutions for the coming year. In Long Eaton WI resolution 4 received the most votes- Clean rivers for people and wildlife.
Our March meeting was all about The History of Gin. Mildred, our speaker kept members entertained and everyone learned a lot about the history of gin.
Our April meeting was a talk about Weleda from Karen one of their advisors.
Our May meeting was our AGM and a celebration of the coronation.
Our June meeting was led by Sarah Dufton from Derbyshire Police who was helping to keep us all safe online and from scams.
Our July meeting was a demonstration of fencing by Chilwell Blades.
August was our summer social out on the field in quite good weather!
In September we were treated to a demonstration of Kitchen Dancing by Jo and then we all joined in either sitting or standing.

Our October meeting was about Operation Orphan, Cyrilian and Emma came to talk to us about their charitable work.
Novembers meeting was Cathys chocolate where chocolate was available to buy after the meeting.
